Since we spent the last post taking about how to break every day habits, let's get into some great ways to keep your skin glowing for Spring.
At home facials anyone?
If you find going to the spa regularly too expensive, or you just like to pamper yourself at home, we're going to talk about a few great things to do to renew your skin in your own bathroom! Plus we'll talk about our Face Oils and how best to use them.
Micro Needle Roller
A really popular tool on the market now a days, is the micro needle roller (also known as a derma-roller). But which one is best for you? And what do they do? There are so many to choose from and important things to think about like what type of oil or serum to follow up with (citrus is a no-no, imagine the irritation of hundreds of tiny needles poking your skin and how that's going to react with vitamin C or citrus serums!!! Yikes). Micro-Needle Rollers use tiny needles to pierce your skin, and in turn your skin reacts to the itty bitty injuries created by the needles and start to produce more collagen to help tighten and plump the skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Using this with a serum appropriate for derma-rolling will increase the benefits of the serum. If using at home, choose a smaller sized micro
-needle, like 0.25 mm; you might find larger sized ones to be more irritating. But always do lots of research before using these products, or speak to your dermatologist if you have severe skin issues and you're not quite sure if this is right for you.
Here is another great post all about derma-rolling!
Jade Rollers are also another popular tool n the skin care work right now, but have actually been around since 7th Century China. They're fantastic for an at home massage, help to boost circulation and absorption of your face oils or moisturizers. While they're not going to do anything miracle work to your skin issues, they are very relaxing and easy to use.

Another wondrous beauty product out there, the clay mask. They're becoming more and more popular so finding the perfect one for you should be easy. These also fall into ancient times, way back to Ancient Egypt. They're super easy to use, help to draw out impurities in the skin, reduce excess shine, and some clays help hydrate the skin as well. take your clay mask, apply in an even layer over your face, let it dry, then rinse away. Done and done!

Ahhh exfoliating. The easiest way to feeling fresh and having soft skin. Exfoliating is great as it removes dead skin and helps to clean out pores, removing dirt and bacteria. There are so many to choose from that you really have to do your research to find out which the best one is for you. Sephora is stocked up with TONS of face exfoliators to choose from.
Check out all the exfoliators Sephora has to offer here!
The most important thing to remember is to moisturize! We have 3 amazing face oils we recommend, and have one for every skin type to choose from.
Herb Garden Face Oil; we recommend this oil for any one with oily or acne prone skin. The Rosemary and Lemongrass help to regulate excess oil and can help to reduce the appearance of acne.
Rose Dreams Face Oil; this oil is best of aging or overly dry skin. It's fantastic for keeping dry skin moisturized, and the Rose Essential Oil is amazing for aging skin. You will be glowing with this face oil!
Wanderlust Face Oil; this oil is great for combination skin, dry, or oil skin- it's great for everyone! The Chamomile essential oil keeps it light and super calming.
All oils are best used after cleansing skin, and work great with Jade Rollers. Using a few drops (or about a dime sized amount or less depending on your preference) massage into clean skin, and let absorb.
Order your very own bottle of face oil from us here! Available in 15ml or 30ml sizes.
Bonus: Take care of your lips!
Don't forget to take care of your lips! We often forget this, but since our lips are exposed all day long to food, water, cold air, warm air, we want to make sure to take care of them. Exfoliate your lips every so often (once a week to a couple times a month is probably sufficient). You can go out and buy a lip scrub, or make your own at home using only a couple ingredients you probably have in your cupboard. Using equal parts sugar and olive oil (or your favourite vegetable oil) mix and scrub away! Follow up with a super moisturizing lip balm.
We have amazing lip balm and so many flavours to choose from! Buy one of our fan favourite lip balms here.
