We spend a lot of time lovingly creating new products that are gentle on your skin and kind to the environment. So of course we also spend time creating the perfect pictures to showcase those products on our Instagram. Watch a small part of the process!

Folks, we spend too much money on essential items, sometimes so much that "why isn't this free with life?", pops into our heads. So we spend and we spend, buying luxurious looking bottles filled with, LITERALLY, stuff we can make at home. I haven't bought make up remover in over a year. Why? Because I don't wear make up often anyways so I hardly use it, and it's really really really easy to make. It's so easy to make, in fact, you PROBABLY have everything you need to make it in your cupboard at home right now. The first time I made my own make up remover, I was floored at how well it worked, and how simple it is. It's super quick to make, and will probably take you more time to gather the ingredients than it will to actually make the stuff. But here goes, water, oil, soap. Done. See? Easy. Okay it's going to be a bit more complex, but that's the jist of it. I definitely recommend using distilled water, or boiling water, just to eliminate the growth of bacteria for as long as possible. We aren't putting any nasty chemical preservatives in this ourselves so it's better to be safe than sorry. You can pretty much use any oil (olive oil, sweet almond oil, Grapeseed, etc..), as long as it's liquid form. Avoid using solid coconut oil because when it cools back to room temperature it doesn't mix well when you shake it up. When it comes to soap, I use either baby shampoo or mild liquid Castile soap. Castile soap is best since there's less icky stuff in it. Gather your ingredients and away you go! I used; Dr. Bronner's Baby Unscented Pure-Castile Liquid Soap Sweet Almond Oil Distilled Water Travel Tube with Flip Lid to mix it all in Fill 1/2 of the bottle with distilled water, 1/4 oil, 1/4 soap. Shake and use! The best way to use it is on a round or oval cotton pad, wipe away the make up, and then rinse your face with a cloth and warm water just to remove any left over residue or make up. Works like a charm! You'll have to shake it every time you use it to remix as the oil will separate from the water over time. And voila! There you have it. Your very own bottle of make up remover, and it cost you pennies!
Once you've removed your make up, and cleansed your face, remember to moisturize with one of our amazing face oils! You can buy one here. Until we DIY again! Robyn. Since the beginning of time (or somewhere in the past century) the cosmetic industry has been showering us with a plethora of options to make us look beautiful. Most of those "options" include oil stripping cleansers, harsh alcohol based toners, and "oil free" moisturizers.
Well, beautiful people, it's all a pile of.... Chemistry. See, there's science and chemistry behind all of those things. Measuring the chemicals, making sure they don't explode on your face. But where is the nature behind it? Our skin is a beautiful and sensitive organ, and it needs nourishment from nature! So what did we do? We made face oils. And now we share them with you. And they are full of natural products so you can choose the best oil for your skin. Many people ask us "but I have oily skin, why would I put more oil on it?" Simple. Your face NEEDS oil, and when it doesn't GET oil, it OVER PRODUCES oil. Therefor, if you moisturize WITH oil, your face is happy! And people with dry skin, oil should be your best friend. Most moisturizers at the store, made for dry skin, will contain SOME oil, but they also mix in so many other additives and preservatives and chemicals that only further dry your skin out. And not to mention the water. Water dries out your skin. Have you ever sat in a bath tub too long and became a prune? Well imagine that, but on your face. (Okay that's slightly an exaggeration, but you get where I'm going with this...) So now that your face is happy, you can bask in the added benefits of essential oils, straight from nature! We spend a lot of time mixing essential oils to make sure that your face reaps the benefits of the essential oils. Not only do we need to pick the right oils, but also make sure they smell as amazing as what they can do. You too can benefit from our face oils with your very own bottle of it straight from our store! Just click here and you will be transported to a wonderful place where we will gladly accept currency for bottles of wonderous magic, or face oil. Happy 2017!
